In the “24th International Meeting Exposition (IME2014)”, a panel discussion “The business event for succeeding ~Convention, Training and Incentive~” was held by MP Japan Chapter on December 9th.

The main 3 topics for the newest trend of an event of a company are as follows.
1. Building a team including CSR contents by designing to increase ROI.
2. Questionnaire for measuring an effect introduced as an additional service of accepting an order of a tour recently.
3. Making the regulations stricter by complying with compliance and changing to a lecture and meeting by prohibiting the wining and dining.

Note of Safety for the Outdoor Event published

According to “the Joint Research Committee of the Safety of Outdoor Events” sponsored by the Japan Event Industry Promotion Association (Chairman, Junji Narita), the National Guard Association (Chairman, Yukiyasu Aoyama) and the Event Association (Chairman, Sakaiya Taichi), “the Note of Safety for the Outdoor Event” is recently published.

As the output which the Joint Research Committee spent about one year to research , it was taken as the summary in order to safely promote the solution to the social and regional problems resulted from events.

From planning an outdoor event to implementing it, the safety is the axis and the professionalizing of 3 groups makes them get know-how. Then, a new system will be setup .

Strategic viewpoint to tourism-oriented nation

At the keynote lecture which took place after the opening ceremony of International Meetings Expo (IME2014), Mr. Jitsuro Terashima, the board chairman of Japan Research Institute, the president of Tama University and the president of Mitsui Global Strategic Studies Institute, appeared on the stage. He told about sightseeing and MICE as the next industrial process model after overcoming technoism under the theme of “A strategic viewpoint to tourism-oriented nation”.

He emphasized the necessity of “A strategy of the creative industry based on the new viewpoint of industry” changing a trading nation which depends on its industrial productivity into a service industrial nation, and proposed developing tourism industry as a effective method. He also told that it was necessary to strengthen integrated resort, medical tourism, convention and industrial tourism.
